A result of well placed dorm rooms, What She Said is an electric 6-piece band based out of Guelph, Ontario. Drawing on their diverse backgrounds, from city to suburb, Canada to Bangladesh, the band has been showcasing their craft around Guelph for three years. With such a large bank of experiences being drawn from, What She Said blends rock, funk, soul, hip-hop and reggae into a unique musical experience. Completely without studio material, the group has created a strong following based solely on the energy of their live shows.
Nick Moore and Julie Neff's vocals capture the audience from first note to the last, their blatant style differences meshing perfectly in extraordinary harmonies throughout. Matty Cays and Jason Field, opposite in their attire, but fluid in their synchronicity offer astonishing exchanges of blistering leads and exciting rhythms as the guitar section. Bassist Daniel Berzen has been known to thrill a crowd with his rare groove and intense stage presence, matched with the ever-impressive Aaron Witham on the drums to round it up with a humility and thrill rarely seen in a drummer of that caliber.
Whether it's 50 or 1000 people, their shows are always full, the crowd is guaranteed to work up quite a sweat and leave excited and thirsty for more… that's What She Said.
